SHIGRAS STUDIO RAINBOW

The word shigras means "bag" in Kichwa, an indigenous language of the Ecuadorian Andes. Since 2020, we have been working with a family of artisans from a small region near Quito. Our first collection, launched in the midst of the pandemic, marked the beginning of a piece that has been part of LA MANSA's history ever since.

Shigras Studio is a more refined evolution of that initial design. In this edition, the leather handles are thinner and more stylized, with a delicate waxed thread finish at the base. The leather clasp incorporates LA MANSA's new engraved half-sun, a nod to our roots and the signature of a new stage for the brand.

The body of the bag is handcrafted from cabuya, a natural fiber obtained from the plant. The leather handles and clasp are hand-stitched in our factory in Ubrique, Cadiz, using premium vegetable-tanned leather. Ecuador provides the origin, the material, and the design; Ubrique, the precision of the leather finishes.

The Rainbow model combines a raw base with strokes of fuchsia, brown, turquoise green, red, orange, and a hint of brown. The colors flow freely across the fabric, creating an expressive composition that varies in each bag.

The body is handwoven in Ecuador using cabuya fibers. The finer, elongated vegetable leather handles are sewn in our Ubrique factory and finished at the base with a delicate waxed thread detail. The top features a full leather zipper closure, engraved with LA MANSA's new half-sun: a nod to our roots and the signature of this new edition.

As this is a handcrafted item, measurements may vary slightly.

Care: It can occasionally get wet and be used on a rainy day, always with caution. Avoid prolonged exposure to water, and if it gets wet, allow it to air dry naturally.

As this is a delicate item, we recommend not overloading the bag with excessive weight to preserve its shape and prevent damage to the fabric.
