RAINBOW SHIGRA CLUTCH

Since 2020, LA MANSA has collaborated with an Ecuadorian family led by Alicia and her two children. Together, they coordinate a network of artisans in a small town where textile knowledge is passed down from generation to generation.

Each collection is produced in limited series of 30 to 50 pieces and requires approximately 60 days of work. The process begins with the cultivation of cabuya, continues with the treatment and dyeing of the fiber using natural pigments, and culminates with the hand weaving of each bag.

The designs originate from the artisans' own creativity. Color and shapes are constructed directly during the weaving process, resulting in spontaneous compositions that are never repeated in the same way.

The word "shigras" comes from Kichwa and means "bag." Its name refers to a tradition closely linked to the indigenous women of the region, who are the keepers of this artisanal knowledge. Each piece retains the mark of its origin and the time dedicated to its creation.

Shipments over 80€ in mainland Spain and Portugal are free.
