Since the year of the pandemic (2020) we have been working with an Ecuadorian family led by Alicia and her two children who coordinate a group of artisans from a small town.

We make orders for 30/50 pieces that take almost 40 days to finish production. The designs are inspired by the artisans, who grow and treat the cabuya fiber and then dye it with natural dyes and achieve unique and unrepeatable designs. A true gem of craftsmanship due to the great work behind it.

A curious fact is that the word "shigras" means "bag" in Kichwa in the language of the indigenous women of this region who are the creators of these handcrafted pieces.

Cabuya fiber woven handbag with perfect size with artisan seal to take to all your events. The interior is lined in a lightweight black fabric. The closure is with two metal clips.

Measurements: length 33cm x 18 cm wide. As it is a hand-woven product, measurements may vary a couple of centimeters.

El cuerpo del clutch está fabricado con cabuya, fibra natural obtenida de la planta agave de la zona de los Andes ecuatorianos. La palabra Shigra siginifica «Bolso» en Kichwa en la lengua de las mujeres indígenas de esta región que son las creadoras de estas piezas artesanales.
