KALOVAL BAJA CALIFORNIA WITH LEATHER

The name Kaloval comes from the Tzotzil language, spoken in northern Chiapas, Mexico. Its translation into Spanish is "gracias" (thank you).

That was precisely the word the master artisan said to María when they met in 2018, understanding that this collaboration opened an opportunity for growth and work for both parties. Since then, the Kaloval represents much more than just a bag: it is a piece born from the encounter between cultures, from respect for traditional crafts, and from a way of creating based on collaboration.

Each bag preserves the essence of the hands that weave it, the irregularities inherent in artisanal work, and the history of an ancestral technique that remains alive generation after generation. The new addition of the leather handle reinforces its functionality and resistance, keeping its original spirit intact: a piece made to last, with soul, history, and purpose.

Handmade bag by artisans from Los Altos de Chiapas, (Mexico), in organic cotton and using a backstrap loom, a pre-Hispanic textile technique native to the Chiapaneca culture.

Its threads, dyed with natural dyes, create a unique striped design full of nuances. In this new version, the Kaloval incorporates a reinforced leather handle made in Ubrique, which provides greater strength and durability, in addition to the leather stamp with the brand's new logo.

Special care

It is not recommended to wash the bag in a washing machine. If you wish to clean it, do so by hand with cold water, using a cloth or soft brush with delicate movements. Avoid aggressive products and prolonged exposure to the sun to better preserve the natural colors and leather.
