SHIGRAS DOUBLE HANDLE BAG

The word shigras means "bag" in Kichwa, the language of the Ecuadorian Andes. We have been working with a family of artisans from a small region near Quito since 2020, and our first collection was a success in the midst of the global pandemic. After several attempts, we managed to incorporate leather zippers to close these bags.

The body of the bag is made of cabuya, a natural fiber obtained from the plant. The leather handle is hand-stitched in our factory in Ubrique, Cádiz, using premium vegetable-tanned leather. As this is a delicate piece, it is advisable not to put excessive weight on the bag to prevent damage.
