SHIGRAS SHOULDER BAG

The term shigras means "bag" in Kichwa, a native language of the Ecuadorian Andes. Since 2020, we've been collaborating with a family of artisans from a small region near Quito, who handcraft the body of each piece using cabuya, a natural fiber extracted from the plant of the same name. The first collection was born in the midst of the pandemic and was a true success, consolidating a creative relationship that continues to grow to this day.

After a long process of research and testing, we have managed to incorporate leather zipper closures, providing greater functionality without losing the handcrafted character that distinguishes these pieces.

The handle and leather details are crafted in our workshop near Ubrique (Cádiz), renowned for its leatherworking tradition, using premium vegetable-tanned leather. The result is a unique bag that combines the richness of Andean culture with the excellence of Spanish craftsmanship.

Because it is a delicate and handcrafted piece, it is recommended not to overload the bag to preserve its durability and beauty.
